The End of the Beginning
sorry, it's been a while, hard to switch heads from shooting this movie, the secret, to house of d. i just wanted to thank everybody here for the support and care you have all given to house of d. i can't say that i'm not disappointed that the movie did not reach a wider audience, but that's the way things go. it's a tough business and we always knew with a movie like this, it would be an uphill battle.
i am convinced that house of d will eventually find a large and appreciative audience on dvd and on tv. some movies just take a while to find their stride, this is one. i am sure of this. i probably won't be adding much to this blog in the near future, but i am inspired to blog further, perhaps create a forum that is not dependant on a specific project, one that is more ongoing. i'll see about that.
it's been an amazing experience to hear you all out there and to meet some of you. this isn't the end, just the end of the beginning. all my best, david d.

North of the Border Opening
been out of touch a little. very busy with this movie.
each project demands full attention. that's good and too bad in a way. anyway, just wanted to check in and let whoever is in the vicinity know that i will be doing q and a's here in montreal for the opening of house of d tommorrow saturday the 7th of may after the 4ish show and the 7ish show. check the local listings for the exact times and theatre. am about to do some montreal radio right now. have even met some fob's up here so i know some will be interested. i am interested to see how some native french speakers react to my french accent. au revoir. d
